Greztsky Classic

Hi All,

Had a relaxing day today with the family. We spent some time at Blue Mountain which was like a shopping and eating area in the mountains north of Toronto where we're playing. Their more like hills actually. It's the ski area with ski resorts but I bet they spent more time on the lifts than actually skiing. It was another frustrating week on the course. The courses were perfect for me but I just couldn't get the putter going. It's killing me. Spending time with the girls today made it better though. Us and the Williamson's went to the course today after shopping and watched the end of the tournament with Brett Hull, Wayne Greztsky and some of the other hockey players I know. Wayne was really cool and was a great host. He, Brett and the others signed Tyler's kid's hockey sticks and hats and took pictures with them. They loved it. We had a great time, but right before we left Reagan jumped in Riley's lap and hit the table and spilled wine and beer on Brett's phone and Marty McSorley's lap. He was an all-star goalie. I guess it's a good time to go boys. We came back to the park and watched our last sunset from here while the kids and dogs played in Lake Huron. Headed to Niagra Falls tomorrow to take the Maiden of the Mist tour at the falls. Talk to you soon.

Friday

We started the morning with the Williamson kids coming over while it was their mom's turn to watch her hubby. then Brett Hull (famous hockey player) came over to get a putter from Kelly. We got Easton to ask for an autograph and have picture made. Neighbors at the camp ground spotted Brett and came over for pics & autographs. Kelly is still playing hopefully he makes the cut. here are some pics from yesterday.

Canada

We made it to Canada in a day and a half, from Knoxville. We stopped at a park and let the girls and dogs play before we entered Canada. It was also a Vietnam Memorial, a nice stop. Once we got to the border we had to take the dogs off and 5 patrol agents got on our bus and searched it for illegal things, guns and drugs. they opened every cabinet, which I saw stuff fall out on one of them. After 5 minutes we were clear to leave, what a greeting. We have a great spot at the RV park, we had our friends join us, their RV park was not so great. This place is right on the lake. with a dog beach, a playground and lots of shade. I don't think it ever got over 80 degrees. We made a fire, roasted marshmallows and had a nice sunset on the beach, then went back to make dinner. Kelly called from the golf tournament while we were making dinner. He is friends with Bret Hull, who is an ex-hockey player who lives in Dallas and is here for the pro-am tournament. Well Wayne Gretzky invited Bret and Kelly to sit with him at his table. Gretzky had his own wine there from his vineyard, he gave Kelly an autographed bottle. The Williamsons that our staying here with us are big Gretzky fans, their dog that is here, his name is Gretzky. so Kelly brought them a bottle too and got a golf ball autographed for their oldest son. We are having fun at the RV park, the girls and I might get to go Friday and watch a few holes, but we are pretty much stuck here with no car, thank goodness the Williamsons are here to play with.

en route aye

I guess KG was planning on typing a lot of words with a's and p's, what else does the pinky do while typing, mine are up in the air when I type. Anyway, we are in a Lowes parking lot and my coffee is done so we are about to head up to Canada. I hope we have all the correct paper work for the kids and animals. We spent the night here in Cincinnati, it was in the 50's last night, we are getting cooler as we go north which is what we were hoping for. Not supposed to get out of the 70's in Toronto. Day care cost $85 a day m-f for both girls and none on the weekends. What is up with that? Guess the girls and I will be exploring Toronto. Anybody heard of anything your "suppose" to do while I'm here, aye? We will be on the Georgian Bay, aye. Alright Mr. Happy is ready to head out I have to wake Riley (Sleeping Beauty) I think a coffee breath kiss should do the trick, aye. More from Canada later, aye.
Hey,

Can't type too much right now. Just caught a wine glass falling out of the cabinet and cut my pinky open. A disappointing round yesterday but something to build on. It's getting better and looking forward to a good tournament this week. Bye.

sunday

We found Lizzy, she came back Friday night while we were sitting outside with our neighbors. Kelly was so happy, and so were the rest of us. Yesterdays round was alright, he did get the three birdies at the end, that helped. We go at 11 today. Then we drive to Canada. I'll try to get Kelly to make a post about his round later. next week we should have interesting stuff to share at the celebrity pro-am. Gotta get the man up and get the day going.

friday

Well, it was a so, so round to watch. Kel missed a bunch of putts that he should of made. On 18 he made a bad tee shot, which on the second shot he had to hit to the fairway beside us #10.
from there he hit one of the best shots he has ever made. He hit his third shot over trees, over water and over a sand trap and the ball rolled about 4 ft from the hole which he then missed the birdie putt. Kind of painful to watch but he kept it even and didn't do too much damage. We did play with Franklin Langum that was 20 over or something. Not fun to watch a 6th grader cheer his dad on as he makes a birdie and move to +14 or hear him say "good shot , Dad" He was such a cheerleader, but truly sad.

The rv place we are staying at was doing us a favor and washing and waxing our rig, meanwhile Kelly's cat Lizzy is missing. We are not sure she got out the night before or if she got out when the crew was washing it. Kelly probably won't post, he is looking for Lizzy and not very happy.

Hey everyone,
.
It's been a hard time but I think it's turning around finally. I acquired a new caddy this week and his name is Scot. He caddied for Jess Daley last year which is where I met him. He's a good caddy and I like his manner on the golf course. Some of the things I've been working on are starting to pay off. I think having my three girls with me on the road is going to make a difference too. I had fun on the course today which is something that hasn't happened for a while. I had a few bogey's today but I'm very happy with my round and I'm looking forward to playing tomorrow which is something I haven't said in a while either. The course is in great shape this year and greener than I've ever seen it. I'm expecting another good round tomorrow and planning on having fun againwhich is what I'm working on also. I haven't been having fun and I don't think you can play well if your not having fun. Going up!!!!!!!!

See ya,
KG

Thursday, 1st round

We have been having a great time. Riley and Reagan both are having a great time getting to see their friends they haven't seen since the fall. Some of the kids we have known since they were born. Their mothers and I would stoll our babies around and know they are going into 4th grade. It is crazy how time flies. It is nice for me to be among the other player wives again. We understand each others issues and life of living with a touring golf pro. The guys are scared to even come around us after a few hours of chatting about them. R&R are so excited to go to "day care" and I am excited to watch my honey play. He is in a great frame of mind. I like his caddy, he carried for one of our friends last year but he lost his status. The country club has been great to us and all the wives and kids have been hanging out at their pool but as of today they are closing it so there is no chance the noise will disturb the players. Kelly goes late today, so we will give some insight to his round later tonight. I'll try to take a picture and show what our RV looks like next to half a million dollar rigs. We got our frig and some other little issues fixed all for a driver. Golf does have its perks.

While I was making dinner and Kel was playing catch w/ the girls outside, a cop came by. There is a black bear wandering around us within a 6 mile radius, so we should keep an eye out. Good info to know.

Fathers Day

We just got to Knoxville and are settled in. Kelly is watching the Open. Riley and Reagan are watching a movie and we are relaxing after our long drive here. It's father's day and Kelly wants meatloaf so I have to start dinner soon. It is 88 degrees in the RV and I am sweating my you know whats off. UH -OH Tiger is on a run, his back 9 may win it. Oh well, Kelly has a good feeling about this week. We will keep up and let you know how his week goes.
