Leaving for Mexico

I got to watch 5 of Kelly's holes today. He teed off so early and daycare didn't open until 9. I caught a ride with Jenell to the course around 10. We dropped off laundry so it could be washed and folded when golf was over. Pretty uneventful morning.
The ladies day yesterday was fun, we got gift bags with Clinique make up, a key holder purse thing and our choice of blown glass necklaces. We left in a limo and all got a mani and pedi then were free to shop for an hour. I bought the cutest toothpick holder that was a voodoo doll, too cute.
We had lunch at the Soaring Wings vineyard and there was a fashion show for us too. We then headed back to the club house for cocktails with the husbands. A few dirty martini's later and the details get fuzzy. I know I left my free gift and voodoo doll toothpick holder in the lounge and no one saw it again. boohoo.
Jenell had the girls to her bus and they made me a birthday cake and brought it over and sang. Kelly got me some Chanel perfume and gift set, that I love. Then while we were eating dinner, Reagan lost her first tooth. I'm glad she lost it before I left. I hope Kelly blogs while I'm gone. I just showed him how to get on it, so we shall see. Adios for now.

Omaha

We found a little critter near by today, a rat snake we think. Reagan likes snakes, my little adventure girl. The girls go to day care tomorrow and I have Ladies Day. We are going for pedicures and manicures, then lunch at a vineyard for a tasting. It should be fun. It is humid and hot here. Kelly plays early then late. I hope I don't leave for the airport until he is done on Friday and I can pick the girls up from school. I should find out tomorrow what time I leave. flying on a pass is great and free but makes it tricky to plan sometimes.
Kelly is practicing early on Wed., he didn't get to play all 18 today because of a two hour rain delay. We should see Curly Medis, Dave's brother, this week. He is always great to us and invites us to his company's box on 18.
That is nice because it is enclosed and air conditioned and full of cold beer and snacks. I bet there will be some good things that happen this week, the tournament will be on the Golf Channel so watch if you can.

Columbus just spit us out

Well I can tell you as a person who sees a lot ,and I mean a LOT, of good golf every week, this course just chewed everybody up. Even good shots had bad results. My eyes hurt from watching what took place. It is over and we are on our way to Omaha, to the next tournament. It is one of the favorite events for players and wives. They have a great ladies day for us on Wed. and daycare starts then too. They put on a first class event and there are big crowds. Not my favorite part of the gig. it seems some people just decide, "I've never been on a golf course in my whole life, but let's go watch these guys play" People have no clue to golf etiquette or where they need to be paying attention and when to remain still and quiet. This week was bad for spectators. The course is set up were you walk between fairways and behind greens to watch your group. The problem is there are guys teeing off behind you, some are approaching the green or putting while people start walking in their line of sight. Lots of issues with clueless spectators. Next week they try to corral them better and keep them contained in certain areas. My new favorite thing on the golf course is my MP3 player. I can put in one or both ear phones depending on the crowds and the comments they are making. People say some of the stupidest things and have no clue who can hear them. Remember the next time you want to say something tacky about someone, whisper it in your friends ear.
We didn't get to see our farmer friend, Johnny, this year so we didn't get a bag of fresh sweet corn. Which means Reagan missed out on a bag full of make believe friends that have long hair. I'll buy her a cob to play with next time I'm at the store.
It has been fun doing this tour again. Kelly has never played consecutively on any tour. It has always been one year here, one year there.(TL doesn't count, venues change) So, it is fun to remember the course and the short cuts and where the stores are. Friday I had a dad and son come up to me and remembered us from last year and they followed Kelly with me. They have been keeping up with him and came out to walk with me again. It was nice to see lots of familiar faces at the club house too from the staff to the tournament directors. We do have fun visiting with people every week. We are almost in another state since I started this, soooo bye for now

great first round

Well I guess his score says it all. It was fun to watch. we are having a great time here. We went to the 'German Village' they have down town. We went to Schmidt's a famous restaurant here. We got all the things they are famous for except the raw Bratwurst. We had the local german beer, pretzel nuggets ( soft inside w/ dipping mustard), Sauerkraut&Bratwurst balls and a huge cream puff to go. Their cream puffs are the main thing they are know for, they are the size of grapefruits.
Riley is producing and directing the golf kids in a production of "High School Musical". She has dance routines and parts assigned. The security guard that sits in with our kids calls her The General. I had to laugh. If he only knew she comes from a long line of strong bossy women, and that's one trait that doesn't skip a generation. At least we're still fun right?
Kelly is really looking forward to what this week will bring and I am so glad we are here with him.
Keep watching.

!

Hey all,

Just sitting here watching one of our favorite shows, bizarre foods, and this guy has just eaten bull balls, penis and stomach in Ecuador. Not so good. Just played a few holes today on the Scarlet course at Ohio State's golf course. I played in the celebrity pro-am yesterday and my partner happened to be the only man to ever win the Heisman Trophy twice, Archie Griffin. He was a real cool guy and we had a great time. The other two guy's were boosters for the school. I birdied the last two holes and the team ended up winning the pro-am. I think we won a crystal trophy but I haven't checked yet. Columbus has had lots of rain this year so far and the course has benefited from it. It's got a lot more grass on it this year and it's soft and plush. The greens are a little slow but I'm sure they will pick up by Thursday and Friday. I don't know my tee time yet. I'm going to practice a little bit tomorrow, so I'll get it then. The Golf Channel will be carrying the tournament this week. That's good so everyone can see my first Nationwide Tour win on Sunday. I'm ready to win and I have a feeling it's coming soon. My putting feels like it's about to come alive. I think we're going to have a relaxing day tomorrow. Put the kids in day care so they can see their friends and we can be by ourselves and have an afternoon together. YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm about to pass out so I'm signing off. See Ya.

Sunday was better

Kelly found a putter he likes as of today. He played really well today and it was actually fun to watch him play. He still could of shot at least 3 or 4 shots better, but -5 was great. It was good to see my brother too. He has work to do for the Big 12 so he took a road trip to watch Kelly play. He only got to see 16, 17 and 18 , but then we got to visit for a couple of hours. We have not seen him since he became a daddy so it was nice to get to visit even if it was just him and not the baby. I hope I get to see his baby the night I'm home before I leave for Mexico. Next week should be great for Kelly, he played well there last year and know we have a putter. If you look at Kel's stats he was #1 in greens in regulation, and probably #1 in pars. I hope he wins while I'm on the road with him and that means it has to be next week. I am going to leave my family the week of Omaha and head off to Mexico for a week and celebrate my 40th (8-8-08) with my best friend Donna, Melanie-bobby gees wife and my mom. I'm leaving them Aug. 1, the friday of Omaha then the next week in Wichita my Dad and Kay are making their way down from Alaska to meet Kelly and help out with the girls. Last year Kelly was in the hunt at Omaha and playing with Jason Day, it was exciting. But he needs to win Columbus so I can witness it in person and celebrate with him. Plus it will help insure he will be in the top 60 and be in the tour championship that will be at Craig Ranch in McKinney TX. That will be fun no matter what.
We are on the road headed back up to Ohio, about a 9 hr drive. So, I'm in the back with Reagan and Riley is being co-pilot. I really don't know anything else...oh. A caddy came up and gave Kelly a copy of a local magazine and Kelly is on the cover. It is a great shot from last years tournament, b ut it is advertising the tournament for this week. That was cool, we will have to add that to his office collage of mag. covers. His caddy, Scott, that he will have for the rest of the year is traveling in front of us. Ka Bully caddied this week and he does a great job, kind of sad to see him go, but Kelly really likes Scott on his bag. We are trucking down the road since he has a pro-am tomorrow at 1 pm. Keep in touch, we like to here from y'all.

fishing family

We had fun fishing. Riley caught the biggest in the family, Kelly caught the most, 9 and I caught one 2 pounder and Reagan had fun casting and trying to get a turtle and perch to bite her bait. some guy said he caught 32 fish so he won. We got some prices and there was the guy in charge of the tournament driving around and bring everyone refreshments. It was a good time. Kel tees off later so we are just relaxing this morning. It should be a nice hot, clear day. The cut right now is -3 soooo we shall see what this day will bring.

1st round in MO

We are having a good week so far. The air conditioning works while we are plugged in, so the world is great. The tournament had a kids day with Ronald McDonald on Tuesday. The girls got their faces painted and played games and Riley got picked by Ronald to be his assistant for a magic trick. The guys on the Nationwide truck took pics but I haven't got their disk yet. Wed. we had lunch and swam all day while Kelly played in the pro-am with the Fed-Ex executives that picked him. They had a good day, except for a young player, Kirk, I think who played in front of them and decided to keep hitting practice shots and holding Kelly's group up. Kelly talked to him and he didn't seem to care, so then Kelly hit into him on one hole and he still didn't budge. the Fed-Ex guys were so irritated they threated to pull out next year. Kelly had to go to the NW truck and tattle, they asked him to please try to talk to the Fed-Ex guys and explain that the kid is young and whatever they need to hear. Hopefully it was just a heat of the moment comment. But, it took over 6 hours to play-teed off at 1:30 and didn't get done until after 7. It was a long day and Kelly was tired so I was nervous he would be worn out for today, but he wasn't. He played great today. He got a new Scotty Cameron putter that is rectangular shaped and he seems to like it. His score could of been 3 shots lower today if the hole was a quarter inch bigger. It's amazing how many putts for these guys just don't fall in the hole. But, a day at -4 is always a good day. There is a fishing tournament this evening that Kelly wants to participate in, so that might be fun. The temperature is still very unusual for here, I don't think it got into the 90's yet today. Tomorrow we go late so it may be hotter. The girls are having fun in daycare which is $5 an hour per child, but worth every penny. They are having fun with the other RV kids too when we get "home". Reagan has pet earth worms this week, I hope they live until we leave. Nothing else really going on. Kelly is not big on this blog as I guess you can tell, but I will try and get him to make an entry about his round and hopefully the fishing tournament.

In Springfield, MO

We made it to MO. We stopped at St. James winery. The lady remembered us, and has been watching Kelly since New Zealand. She thought it was about time to see us and has been waiting for us. We haven't made it to Osceola yet, but just found out there is a second store they opened near us here in Springfield. Can't wait. We are stopped in front of Ranny and Marcia's house since last night. They put Kelly and JB up in private housing during this tournament years ago and are still dear friends. They let us make ourselves at home and the girls get to take a bath in a tub, the dogs are running in their backyard and we are hanging out while I get some laundry done. Kelly is playing a pro-am today and another one on Wed. One of the head sponsors requested Kelly for the pro-am, so that is special. Ranny has a friend that has a body shop here so the Jeep is there and hopefully on its way to being fixed. We will be moving to the RV park we stayed in last year that is down the street from the course, hopefully when we plug in we will have AC. Thank goodness it is much cooler here than normal. Kenneth is in a lot of pain with his knee replacement surgery and should get out of the hospital tomorrow, I don't think he will be making this tournament, but I'm hoping he can make it to Kansas in Aug. if he is lucky.

The day after

Well I can tell you just from watching, the course played totally different than it did the previous morning. The greens weren't holding a ball and the speed was ever changing. I only got to watch the first 9 holes, started on #10 then coming up #18 I had to go get the girls because daycare was over at 5pm and it was c conveniently located off of 18. So, I got the girls and we watched Kel putt 18 and walked him over to #1 and watched him tee off and the girls wished him good luck. Then we went back to the bus ( a whole other story about how our inverter isn't working to keep the batteries charged) and watched on the computer. I kept thinking the stupid score guy must of put in the wrong score on #3, but he didn't. I was nervous to pick Kelly up to say the least. I was waiting in the Jeep in the middle of the whole clubhouse & NW truck and golf ch truck area, the main hub of everything. I see Kelly walking off #9 and headed for the clubhouse, so I whistle at him and he looks up and sees& hears the Jeep ( a hole in the muffler makes a lovely sound on our eye soar of a car)and just shakes his head in shame and walks off. Ka Bully, his caddy came over and I asked him what happened. He said #2 started it, it was a lost ball, then #3 was another lost ball and it was over after that. #2 took the wind out of his sail, he said. If I'd still been watching there would of not been a lost ball, much less two in a row. the guy that was watching for balls and marks them with a flag for the golfer to see, said " I heard it, but never saw it." That is your whole stupid job you idiot. Thanks! Wish I could of been there. Thank goodness for the Bubba Dickerson, when I drove up, Kelly threw or launched his bag out of the blue turd and Bubba was already picking them up before I could mouth a thank you. I left them to talk and joined the girls playing in Greg Bitterly's , the caddy on J.Schultz bag, bus since our air couldn't run and it was hot in our bus. (Another issue for this morning that involves the batteries)
Greg went out and helped with Kelly's clubs. It's nice traveling with other people that have gone through what his been through and live the same kind of ups and downs. So, later we all sat around and drank and talked about living the life of a golfer, a caddy and being the wifes of them.
Last nights plan KG came up with is I apparently have to work on my resume and get a real job and Kelly is going to work on cars or stay home and take care of the girls depending on how much I can make. Hopefully after he sleeps it off we will be back on our regular golf path. Now we can take our time to drive to MO and not have to rush Sunday night to get there for Monday morn pro-am. I'm hoping we can stop at our favorite cheese factory, Osceola, in MO and our favoirte vineyard there, St. James. Got to go wake sleeping beauty and eat some breakfast and start a new day. Just wanted the KG fans to know what happened to their buddy yesterday. Thanks for always loving him no matter what.

First round in WV

The course was soaked today and I was glad I played early, because the greens were better than they were in the afternoon, but still bumpy from footprints. My back is feeling good and so is my swing. I made a few putts today and that's what's been missing. I probably could of shot a couple better but a couple of missed wedge shots and a missed 2 footer on 17 for birdie cost me. I like the golf course, which I haven't said about too many Pete Dye courses, it's pretty good. I hope it dries out, it soaked. We played lift and clean today, if it dries out it will get better. My Dad had his right knee replaced today, he said he felt no pain and is doing fine. He is planning on making MO next week but we shall see. We had an hour and twenty minute fog delay and 57 tonight so there may be a delay in the morning. It's okay because it was hotter than hell last year. Kids like daycare and get to play with a lot of their friends. Kelley got to watch and that was good. Just grilled some chicken and ready to hit it. Hope everybody is good. KG

West Virginia

Well we made it WV. There weren't as many RV's in the field as las year so we got a prime spot. We got beside this little office building and now we have a sewer and water. Another RV is using the power outlet and that's okay they have a one year old. We met yesterday, Greg and his wife Jenell, he is a Caddy and here looking for a bag. His normal guy is on the PGA, and let him go Sat. He is going to carry Jason Schultz's bag. He is a Dallas guy.
It was great to finally get on the road. A new mechanic came and after 40 minutes or so he got all the air out of the fuel line and we were on our way. It was nice to get here and plug straight into water. We did some vacuuming and cleaning, then went to Kroger and came home and took a nice long (much needed) hot shower. The course looks great. Kelly practiced yesterday while I did the previously mentioned. today he got up early and went in with Bubba Dickerson They are in the drk blue bus). Then at noon he is giving a Jr. Clinic and probably practicing until dinner time. He is surprisingly, really in good spirits after the week we've had. The girls and I are going to do some laundry and go check out their Big Lots here.

Sunday, July 6, 2008

Not much to say, we slept fine with the roar of the highway in the background. The parking area filled up a little as it got darker. I got to watch a couple of men sneak off to the trees to pee since there are no bathrooms at this rest stop. A truck that had a blow out was here with us until about 10 pm when a roadside assistant truck came to help him change his inside blown tire. Sometime this morning a truck hauling cows stopped here. I awoke to many MOOO's and then there was one tiny baby cow that would mooo in his tiny voice after the bigger ones were done. Kelly is going to play golf in the town we are in, he is not real happy about leaving us here while he is gone. You never know what kind of weirdo can pull into one of these rest areas. We do have a guard dog Dasher and other means of protection but I think we will be fine. He is also going to put some vent covers over our ceiling vents/fans so we don't have to shut them when it rains. We are getting some much needed chores done. Only 24 more hours until we hopefully get fixed and can head to W. Virginia.

staying on the side of the road

Well, the repair guy came to prime the fuel filter, didn't work. Then he tried pouring fuel directly into the filter, didn't work. Then the big boss (the one that wanted the driver) came with a little can of Ether that is the fix all. Well it did get the engine started but it wouldn't stay running, soooo that means it's the fuel pump. We have to stay here at our road side estate until Monday morning. Kelly had to call and cancel his pro-am for Monday. Did I mention we were already dry camping for the two days at the golf course, and we have not had a chance to fill up our water tank yet. So until Monday we only have about 15 gallons of water to flush, wash and bath with. Thank the lord I am not a high maintenance woman or I would be so angry right now. We are getting a few chores done, like putting this heat repellent film on the inside of our windows. Because next week in West Virginia is where all the golfers in RV's stay in this big field with no shade and we have to run off of our generator (which runs on $5 a gallon diesel). Last year with the ac on 70 our bus was 89 to 91 degrees inside. Don't y'all wish you were here. Say prayers for us at least after you are done counting your blessings. Gotta go make dinner, spaghetti, my least favorite meal on earth but everyone else loves it. Yippee.

On our way to West Virginia

Well 4th of July was great. We headed out to downtown Pittsburgh's North Shore for the Three Rivers Regatta. We went to this Cantina restaurant right on the river bank. The worst guacamole ever, avocado and lemon juice. I wanted to ask to see the cook so I could slap him. How can you ruin guac. Anyway, it was a great people watching place and there were boat races going on in front of us. As for the people watching, there was a lot to watch. They look and dress different up here to say the least. We walked around and checked out the Steelers arena where the activities were happening. It was drizzling pretty heavy so some of the things, like the bounce house and stuff where just too wet to have any fun. We went down by the water and listened to some live band, but we still had 4 hours until "show time". When we only had three hrs to go we went back to the Cantina patio, where there where real bathrooms, not port-a-pots and $2 beers. We got a great spot in the corner of the patio. We actually had to physically move the table to the corner, because as show time was approaching people where trying to stand in our corner. So we have a prime spot that we held for 3 hours, just hanging out the girls colored and watched the boats. The fireworks are suppose to start at 9:38, at 9:30 this big black dude, I think the bouncer, comes over and says we are going to have to leave with our children, the place becomes a bar at 9:30 and children are not allowed. I snapped my head around so fast (it may have actually spun one revolution) and ripped into him. I told him we had been here for lunch then returned and had been sitting here holding this spot for 3 hours and we are NOT leaving. There were a couple of other kids running around so Kelly said we would leave after the other kids left. He never returned again and we had a great river front view of a fantastic laser/ fireworks show with an orchestra playing along. The river was glowing with colors and was full of spectator boats. It was a great show.
Now, here is part of the usual Grunewald journeys. Our rig hasn't been running to full capacity when it goes up a hill, which there are a lot of here. So Kelly thought it was the air filter that needed to be changed again, but it is a huge job to do. Instead he thought one issue may be the fuel filter, which he had. So we pulled over on a road side rest area and changed the fuel filter. He yelled at me to start the engine, which I did and everything was a go. All of a sudden the engine dies. I crank it up again, it won't turn over. Kelly tries and it will not turn over. He goes to the back and comes back with this look, like oops I forgot to do something. He was supposed to safe the diesel fuel in the filter and put it in the new filter, kind of a primer to help it start. Soooo, we call Caterpillar engine company and they told us we need a pump to prime the line now. He called a dealer about a hour away who was waiting for our call to get information on our engine and our location to come help us. After Kelly talked to the guy, the $500+ job they are going to do for us is now costing, $50, a driver and a dozen golf balls. We have had lunch, picked blackberries from the bushes along side of us and it's been over an hour. Gotta go.

Canada Day recap

I forgot to tell about Canada Day at Niagara Falls. First we started with bacon that Reagan cooked and pancakes Riley Williamson made. In the picture of Chef Reagan, you can see the culprit, Dasher. After Reagan cooked the bacon, we put it on a plate and then noticed Yogi Bear roaming the park. We pushed the bacon to the center of the table and ran to take a picture with Yogi. As we are returning to our site, I see Dasher standing on the table eating every last piece of bacon. Bad Dog! We all then went to the park and then rented these bike/go cart things, then went swimming. We then headed down town to the falls, they light up at night. I got video but no pics of them lit up. I did take some pics of the falls not lit, from the car. It was pure chaos down there. I never knew that Canada had sooo many Indian dot head/towel head people. Holy Moly! The fireworks over the Falls might of lasted 15 minutes, but I doubt it. Not very impressive, but a remember able Canada Day. The one picture (if they load as I'm riding down I 79 to Pittsburgh) of the Falls and downtown is one I took going over the bridge back to the USA and you can kind of see Tylers Rig in my rear view mirror, you can't see his damage behind the cover, but it is pretty ripped up.

We are headed to Pittsburgh to see the fireworks at the Three Rivers Gala. We found a website that gave secret places to see the fireworks from, one of them was a golf course, Schlereth or something. Kelly called them and we are staying in their parking lot tonight and tomorrow. Kelly is going to play with the head pro tomorrow morning as payment, plus he hasn't practiced all week. Should be fun. Then we need to head to West Virgina for the tournament.

Back In the USA

We made it back to the US around noon yesterday. I had to drive across in the Jeep separate from the bus. Kelly and Tyler had to go through a special line but all went fairly smooth. One guy got on each bus and asked about fruit, duty free shopping and if our dogs were ferocious . We headed strait to Buffalo NY to a camping world. Tyler bought us a new hitch and tow bar, while he and Kelly put it on, Tonya and I walked the kids around Camping World and looked at 5th wheels and campers just for the fun of it. Then we walked to Arby's for lunch, when we got back the guys were done. We ate our last meal together before we parted ways. Tyler is not in the West Virginia tournament so they were headed home. We found out that yesterday was the Tyler Williamson Classic at his golf course at home and was unable to make it. Their local paper ran an article about how he couldn't be there because he was in an accident in Canada. That ruined their story about how the accident happened in Buffalo ( for insurance sake they wanted to keep it in the states). So they have to reiterate that it happened on the way home from Canada. Hope that will work.
We tried to find a place to spend the night in Erie last night. There was one place that was near the water so we called, no one answered but their machine said "first come first serve" so we headed that way. As we are pulling in there is a sign that said no turn around, just a we pull in there is a cone 100 yrds from the road that says FULL. Now we are stuck (you can't back up pulling a car) and the guard gate arm is down and no one to man it. Then here comes 2 grumpy old men in shorts, black socks and loafers but they do have on security guard shirts. They smart off to Kelly about reading the FULL sign and Kelly was already irritated at the whole day and not getting to fish. So he smarts off to them about it not being visible from the road, I start to look around at the campers and I began to get nervous. This is a ghetto campground with more white trash people than I have ever seen in one area. Everyone of them is starring at us from under their crooked hats and smoke from their cigarettes. I think our 2002 rig is the newest one they have ever seen in this place. Some trailers look like they got their spot last year and never moved. Most of the rv/trailers had rust or as my Daddy calls it "Yankee Cancer" all underneath them. Finally the old fart opens the gate so we can turn around. To do that job we are going to have to unhook the Jeep and pull it out of the way. We cannot drive through the park because the ghetto telephone poles and power lines are hanging down in the way and the street in front of us says DO NOT ENTER. Now the WT's are really starting to gather, one because our 40 ft rig is blocking the one main street. I swear i heard someone say "Go get some of those tortilla chips and bring a chair" So now Kelly has to make a 8 point turn to get the rig turned around. Little unsupervised WT's are acting like they don't see our rig and they are just riding their bikes behind him, walking in front of him, just clueless to the world. Maybe that is a survival tool, because I bet their world is cruel. The whole time Old and Older are just standing there watching, not saying a word, just ready to lift the security gate for Kelly when he is ready. So Kelly gets by the gate and as I approach the gate a car gets in front of me and talks to the security guys for at least 3 minutes. I can see Kel standing behing the RV with the tow bar out and waiting, but this guy is just chatting away and then starts to chat to the 5 year old in the back. I almost rammed them through the gate. Man I hate people sometimes. So now I am writing this from our resting place for the night, The Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot. It is rainy today, I hope the trash bag window on the Jeep holds out. We might of fit in at that RV place after all. We may try to go to Pittsburgh for fireworks tomorrow but if it going to be rainy I don't know what we are going to do. Maybe if someone calls Kelly, he will tell them his plans then I will hear it then I will know what his plans are too. We seem to be having communication issues which may seem odd since our whole family is in the same enclosed space. Can you feel the love.

July 1 in Niagra

Well we made it here, but we almost didn't. Our friends the Williamsons were following us to Niagara Falls were we are staying at a Jellystone Park (Yogi is here). As we are sitting at a red light, Tyler plows into the back of us. The Jeep back window was smashed out and the back hatch is smashed in. Our towing bar is bent in a couple of directions. We can't tow the Jeep but thank goodness it still runs. What an ordeal. I wanted to take Tonia to an IKEA, she has never been. So we decided to pull over and double check their rig. Their front fiberglass is ripped up but is not visible because they have a big wrap around cover that protects the "nose" from bugs and rocks. So we stopped at IKEA while the boys check out the rig and Jeep (no reason to spoil the whole day). We pull in and the Jeep starts leaking antifreeze everywhere. Turns out the top wasn't screwed back on tight after the guys first inspected everything. Kelly put in some Antifreeze and all seems to still work. We were planning on a great day at the falls, we may wait until later and see the Falls lit up at night. We need to try and get a tow bar, because driving two vehicles across America will cost a fortune. Tried to upload picture of Jeep and having a hard time. Just picture the hatch smashed in about 3 inches and two black trash bags duct taped around the window opening. Real Class here at the Grizwalds.
