First round in WV

The course was soaked today and I was glad I played early, because the greens were better than they were in the afternoon, but still bumpy from footprints. My back is feeling good and so is my swing. I made a few putts today and that's what's been missing. I probably could of shot a couple better but a couple of missed wedge shots and a missed 2 footer on 17 for birdie cost me. I like the golf course, which I haven't said about too many Pete Dye courses, it's pretty good. I hope it dries out, it soaked. We played lift and clean today, if it dries out it will get better. My Dad had his right knee replaced today, he said he felt no pain and is doing fine. He is planning on making MO next week but we shall see. We had an hour and twenty minute fog delay and 57 tonight so there may be a delay in the morning. It's okay because it was hotter than hell last year. Kids like daycare and get to play with a lot of their friends. Kelley got to watch and that was good. Just grilled some chicken and ready to hit it. Hope everybody is good. KG
