Kelly found a putter he likes as of today. He played really well today and it was actually fun to watch him play. He still could of shot at least 3 or 4 shots better, but -5 was great. It was good to see my brother too. He has work to do for the Big 12 so he took a road trip to watch Kelly play. He only got to see 16, 17 and 18 , but then we got to visit for a couple of hours. We have not seen him since he became a daddy so it was nice to get to visit even if it was just him and not the baby. I hope I get to see his baby the night I'm home before I leave for Mexico. Next week should be great for Kelly, he played well there last year and know we have a putter. If you look at Kel's stats he was #1 in greens in regulation, and probably #1 in pars. I hope he wins while I'm on the road with him and that means it has to be next week. I am going to leave my family the week of Omaha and head off to Mexico for a week and celebrate my 40th (8-8-08) with my best friend Donna, Melanie-bobby gees wife and my mom. I'm leaving them Aug. 1, the friday of Omaha then the next week in Wichita my Dad and Kay are making their way down from Alaska to meet Kelly and help out with the girls. Last year Kelly was in the hunt at Omaha and playing with Jason Day, it was exciting. But he needs to win Columbus so I can witness it in person and celebrate with him. Plus it will help insure he will be in the top 60 and be in the tour championship that will be at Craig Ranch in McKinney TX. That will be fun no matter what.
We are on the road headed back up to Ohio, about a 9 hr drive. So, I'm in the back with Reagan and Riley is being co-pilot. I really don't know anything else...oh. A caddy came up and gave Kelly a copy of a local magazine and Kelly is on the cover. It is a great shot from last years tournament, b ut it is advertising the tournament for this week. That was cool, we will have to add that to his office collage of mag. covers. His caddy, Scott, that he will have for the rest of the year is traveling in front of us. Ka Bully caddied this week and he does a great job, kind of sad to see him go, but Kelly really likes Scott on his bag. We are trucking down the road since he has a pro-am tomorrow at 1 pm. Keep in touch, we like to here from y'all.
